Obra Blanca 2019

Cocina a la medida diseñada por Vitelier, en colaboración con Cosentino, para Obra Blanca 2019
Stand in Expo Santa Fe
Mexico City

We designed a nearly five-meter-long kitchen island as a central stage to activate different dynamics and showcase the versatility of Cosentino’s Dekton, an ultra-compact surface that combines durability and sophistication. The island is organized into four functional zones: an integrated planter that demonstrates its water resistance; a large work area with a sink and grill, where guest chefs cooked directly on the countertop; and a 1.5-meter overhang that functions as a side table or meeting point.

The design focuses on a play of volumes that emphasize horizontality. A solid, dark-toned wood body provides warmth and depth, while the light-colored countertop creates an elegant and contemporary visual contrast.

Obra Blanca 2019: Cosentino’s Stand

Obra Blanca is an annual exhibition specializing in finishes and design products for architecture. For its 2019 edition, Cosentino—a global leader in surfaces for architecture and interior design—invited us to design and manufacture the central kitchen for its exhibition space.

The challenge was to create a piece that not only represented the brand’s values but also demonstrated the technical and aesthetic qualities of its materials in real time to a professional audience.
