Kitchen in Pedregal
Mexico City
Located in a residence south of Mexico City, this kitchen was designed for a client passionate about cooking and hosting events.
The design was designed for constant use, so two large sinks, a professional grill, a pair of high-capacity refrigerators, and a tower of ovens were incorporated.
One of the priorities was to have a large counter for food preparation and cooking, complemented by an island that serves the same purpose, favoring the flow of the space.
The light-toned color palette creates a clean and understated atmosphere, with a touch of warmth thanks to the light wood details, which contrast with the dark gray floor.
The remodel, led by PH Atelier, included an expansion of the kitchen’s square footage. Originally, the kitchen ended at the column in the center of the space; however, this slender column, a characteristic of the house’s architecture, was integrated so that it does not interfere visually or spatially with the layout.
The ample space made the storage area less of a challenge. Given the limited height, the decision was made to conceal the hood within a quartz panel, eliminating cabinetry and creating a cleaner, lighter visual impression.
